Marilyn Diaz
Marilyn Diaz serves as a Project Manager and technical reviewer in the Fuel Facility Licensing Branch, Division of Fuel Management, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (refer to as NMSS). In her current role as a Project Manager, she manages NMSS activities and actions associated with Accident Tolerant Fuels and Advance Reactors programs. She also serves as the lead Project Manager for NRC license of a fuel fabrication facility. Ms. Diaz also conducts chemical safety reviews of new applications, amendments, exemptions and renewal for fuel cycle facilities. Ms. Diaz also provides technical support and guidance to the regions on licensing and inspection activities of fuel cycle facilities.
Ms. Diaz joined the NRC in 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus and a Master’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from the George Washington University.
