Heather Feldman

Heather Feldman is the Director, Innovation in the Nuclear Sector at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).  She leads an expert team with a focus on innovation opportunities for nuclear power plants including: Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, Advanced Nuclear Technology, Plant Modernization, Technology Innovation, Flexible Operations, Long-Term Operations, and Nuclear Beyond Electricity, among other emerging areas.

Prior to her current role, she was Director of EPRI’s Nuclear Sector Plant Support department.  She previously managed the Engineering Programs area, and Steam Generator Management Program committee.  Her research experience in nuclear power spans engineering programs, thermal-hydraulics, advanced modeling and simulation, fuel performance and steam generators.

Before joining EPRI, Feldman worked for United Space Alliance, where she contributed to the successful “Return-to-Flight” mission after the Space Shuttle Columbia accident.

Feldman holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy in mechanical engineering, all from Clemson University.
