TH34 Accident Tolerant Fuels: Preparations for Licensing
The NRC, nuclear industry stakeholders, and the international community are actively engaged to enable the safe use of accident tolerant fuels. This session will highlight preparations and progress made by each organization in implementing the NRC’s accident tolerant fuels project plan and in maintaining alignment as the industry moves toward licensing. It will also discuss opportunities to leverage the international community in mitigating the risks associated with the closure of the Organisation for Co-operation and Development (OECD) Halden Reactor Project.
