William (Bill) Gross

Bill Gross supports NEI’s efforts related to physical and cyber security, emergency preparedness, and access authorization, fitness-for-duty, and behavioral observation programs. In his current role he engages industry, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on matters of policy affecting the nuclear industry. Bill also engages with other agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Energy (DOE).

Bill holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park; and a Computer Science Master’s Degree with a focus on information security from the James Madison University. Bill is the secretariat of the Nuclear Sector Coordinating Council, and facilitates both the industry’s Security and Emergency Preparedness Working Groups.
