Victor Cusumano

Mr. Victor (Vic) Cusumano joined the NRC in 2008, and is a Deputy Director in the Division of Safety Systems (DSS) in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). Most recently, he acted as Deputy Division Director in the Offices of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and Nuclear Security and Incident Response. Before that, Mr. Cusumano was Chief of the Safety Issues Resolution Branch, and the Technical Specifications Branch in NRR. Prior to joining the NRC, he was a Senior Manager at Computer Sciences Corporation supporting the US Navy Guided Missile Destroyer program and the Ballistic Missile Defense program, and was Vice President of Engineering at Belzona, an industrial chemical and coatings manufacturer. Mr. Cusumano is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy, operated shipboard power plants as a US Coast Guard-licensed merchant marine engineering officer, and is a former US Naval Reserve officer.
