Theresa Clark

Theresa Clark serves as the Deputy Director, Division of Materials Safety, Security, State, and Tribal Programs, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards.

Ms. Clark joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a summer hire in 2002 and permanently in 2004 as a participant in the Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program. She worked for several years as a reliability and risk analyst in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and the Office of New Reactors. Ms. Clark then held progressively more responsible positions in the Office of New Reactors as a division Technical Assistant and chief of the Mechanical Engineering Branch. She also served as an Executive Technical Assistant in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations, and most recently as the Deputy Director, Division of Rulemaking, Environmental, and Financial Support, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards.

Ms. Clark received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland. She is a graduate of the NRC's SES Candidate Development Program and a 2020 recipient of the NRC's Meritorious Service Award.
