Rani Franovich

Rani Franovich is a Senior Policy Advisor for Nuclear Energy Innovation at the Breakthrough Institute. In this role she works closely with reactor technology developers, advocacy groups, thought leaders, and policy makers to press for regulatory reforms that are necessary to satisfy the Nuclear Energy Innovation and Modernization Act of 2019 and the interests of civil society.

Before joining the Breakthrough Institute, Ms. Franovich enjoyed an accomplished 30-year career with the NRC, where she inspected, licensed, and provided oversight of commercial reactors while building cohesive teams, leading people, and leading change (including change in organizational culture).
