Michelle Cattes

Michelle has over 20 years of demonstrated managerial and technical expertise in nuclear regulatory affairs and quality including providing oversight; ensuring compliance with regulations and recognizing, evaluating, and recommending controls for workplace risks and hazards. As the Senior Vice President, Nuclear Programs, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, she is responsible for ensuring the oversight and continuous improvement of world-class Quality and Regulatory Affairs. She has a demonstrated history of working in the private and government nuclear industry. Prior to working at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, she worked at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissioner in positions of increasing responsibility from a resident inspector to the Policy Advisor for the Presidential appointed Chairman. She was recently appointed the Chair of the World Nuclear Association CORDEL Working Group.

Michelle earned a B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. She recently completed her MBA at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2023. She lives in Wilmington with her two children and Frenchbulldog.
