Michael Dudek
Mr. Michael Dudek joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in 2003 as a Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program participant in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation at NRC Headquarters He has held a variety of progressively more responsible positions at the NRC including General Engineer, Resident Inspector, Emergency Response Coordinator, Senior Program Manager for Incident Response, Technical Assistant (TA), Executive TA, and a Senior Project Manager.
Currently, Mr. Dudek is serving as Branch Chief (BC) for the New Reactor Licensing Branch (NRLB) in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) His BC duties include leading, managing, and facilitating design certification (DC), early site permit (ESP), and combined license (COL) application reviews, including new reactor pre-application activities. He is also responsible for the project management of these applications in addition to the development and maintenance of necessary regulatory infrastructure, outreach to stakeholders, and the associated programmatic support for new reactor licensing activities associated with light water reactors.
Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Dudek received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002 from the Pennsylvania State University.
