Kenneth Erwin

Ken started his career at the NRC almost 25 years ago as a technical reviewer of spent nuclear fuel transportation and storage casks. Since then, he has moved to positions of progressively more responsibility, including: (1) financial analyst, (2) new reactors licensing technical assistant, and (3) external hazards analysis team leader for oceanography and meteorology. For the last seven years, Ken has been the chief of the Environmental Review New Reactors Branch, where he has developed a deep appreciation for NEPA and its related laws, policies, and regulations. Ken has Masters and Bachelor's degrees in Nuclear Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and the Missouri University of Science and Technology, respectively.
