Elizabeth Williford

Liz Williford is the Fleet Emergency Preparedness Director for Southern Nuclear, a position she assumed in June of 2018. She is responsible for all emergency preparedness activities for the Southern Nuclear fleet, including the new construction of Vogtle Electric Generating Plant units 3 and 4.

Liz received a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama.

She received her Senior Reactor Operator’s license from Plant Farley and worked on shift for several years.

Liz has also served as the Regulatory Affairs Manager and Licensing Manager at Plant Farley as well as an Emergency Director.

Liz and her husband Brent have three daughters.
