David Pelton

Mr. David Pelton is the Director of the Office of Enforcement, which includes oversight and management of the NRC's Safety Culture Policy Statement, Differing Views Program and Allegations program. Mr. Pelton joined the U.S. NRC in 1997 as a resident inspector in Region III and has held progressively responsible positions including senior operator licensing examiner, senior resident inspector, executive technical assistant in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations, and a variety of branch chief positions in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.  Since joining the Senior Executive Service (SES) in April 2016, Mr. Pelton has served in several senior management positions including Deputy Director of the Division of Reactor Projects in Region I, Director of the Division of Nuclear Material Safety in Region III, and Deputy Regional Administrator in Region II. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
