Craig Newtson

Dr. Craig Newtson is Professor and Department Head in the Civil Engineering Department at New Mexico State University.  He holds BSCE and MSCE degrees from the University of Wyoming and a PhD degree from the University of Washington. Dr. Newtson's expertise focuses on concrete materials and non-destructive testing of concrete materials and structures, with recent work focusing on grout and overlay bond with substrate concrete. He has conducted research projects funded by NMDOT, the Hawaii Department of Transportation, the Transportation Consortium of South-Central States (Tran-SET, a USDOT University Transportation Center) and the Center for Bio-inspired and Bio-Mediated Geotechnics (CBBG, a NSF Engineering Research Center) and has more than 100 publications related to his research.
