NRC-DOE Workshop on Advanced Reactors

Welcome to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Workshop on Advanced Reactors. This page is intended to provide information on recent workshops.

The NRC and DOE held the first Advanced Reactors Workshop on September 1-2, 2015, the second workshop on June 7-8, 2016, and the third on April 25-26, 2017. These workshops allowed key stakeholders to share perspectives, reach a common understanding, identify potential challenges, and explore opportunities.

While these workshops were extremely beneficial, NRC now plans to facilitate smaller, more frequent and focused interactions with stakeholders approximately every six weeks. Please visit the NRC's Public Meeting Schedule or the Periodic Stakeholder Meetings page to keep apprised of upcoming meetings related to advanced reactors.
