2.0 Site Status Summary

The NTR license was renewed on June 29, 2023, in response to the GE-Hitachi application for license renewal dated November 19, 2020. The licensee informed NRC that it had permanently ceased operation of the NTR on December 21, 2023, NRC issued a possession-only license for NTR on February 28, 2024. The facility is being maintained in a storage condition.

The licensee plans to submit a decommissioning plan for the NTR in December 2025.
