REMARKS: IMC 0970 (Potentially Generic Items Identified By Regional Offices) has been revised to reflect the current NRR organization, and to add NRR Office Letter No. 1300, Revision 2, "Procedures For Handling 10 CFR Part 21 and 10 CFR 50.55(e) Notifications of Deviations, Defects, and Failures to Comply Associated With Substantial Safety Hazards at Nuclear Power Reactors and Vendors," as a reference.
IP 60850 (Fuel Storage and Handling) is deleted. The need for this IP no longer exists. No RITS charges have been made to this IP for the past 10 years. The IP was intended for use at fuel reprocessing plants.
IP 71111 (Reactor Safety-Initiating Events Mitigating Systems, Barrier Integrity) has been revised to add requirements and guidance for reviewing major INPO reports to satisfy EDO Field Policy Manual on the topic. Guidance was also added about using SDP, when applicable, to evaluate the significance of INPO findings. No change in IP resources or effort.
TI 2515/109, Revision 4 (Inspection Requirements For Generic Letter 89-10, "Safety-Related Motor-Operated Valve Testing and Surveillance") is deleted. The inspection requirements for this TI have been completed.
TI 2515/132 (Malevolent Use of Vehicles at Nuclear Power Plants) is deleted. The inspection requirements for this TI have been completed.
TI 2515/144 (Performance Indicator Data Collecting and Reporting Process Review) has been revised to extend the completion date. This will allow the regions more time to complete the inspection requirements.
