         Additional Management Changes.


Discussion:

Robert Saunders, President and CNO of FENOC, announced today that
FirstEnergy (FENOC) will have the following management changes, The
changes will be effective December 24, 2001.

Randy Fast, currently Director-Plant Maintenance at Beaver Valley, will
become the Plant Manager at Davis-Besse. Lonnie Worley, currently the
Director- Support Services at Davis-Besse, will become
Director-Generation Supply Chain. Dave Eshelman, currently the
Manager-Plant Engineering at Davis-Besse, will replace Lonnie Worley and
become the Director-Support Services at Davis-Besse.

Robert Schrauder, currently the Plant Manager at Perry, will become the
FENOC Director-Special Engineering Projects. Bill Kanda, currently the
Director- FENOC Oversight, will return to his prior position as Plant
Manager at Perry. Neal Bonner, currently the Director-Nuclear Maintenance
at Perry, has been named as FENOC loaned executive to INPO in Atlanta.
Tim Rausch, currently the Director-Nuclear Engineering at Perry, will
replace Neal Bonner and become the Director-Work Management and
Maintenance at Perry. Jim Powers, currently Project Manager-Extended
Power Uprate at Perry, will replace Tim Rausch and become
Director-Nuclear Engineering at Perry.
