Subject: NRR To Meet With Nuclear Energy Institute, The Materials
         Reliability Program, And Other Nuclear Industry Stakeholders


Discussion:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Nuclear Reactor
Regulation is currently scheduled to meet with representatives from the
Nuclear Energy  Institute, the Materials Reliability Program, and other
nuclear industry stakeholders on June 7, 2001, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon, at
Two White Flint North, 11545 Rockville Pike, Room T7-A-1, Rockville Md.
20852. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the staff's questions
pertaining to the Materials Reliability Program's report on control rod
drive mechanism cracking at pressurized water reactors. The meeting will
also discuss potential NRC generic communications on this issue. (See
