REGION III MORNING REPORT PAGE 2 MARCH 23, 2001

Licensee/Facility: Notification:

Ce Nuclear Power Llc MR Number: 3-01-0005
Fuel Fabrication Facility Date: 03/13/01
Festus,Missouri Ltr. dated 3/13/01 from CE NP LLC
Dockets: 07000036 License No: SNM-33

Subject: Cessation of Principal Activities

Discussion:

The CE Nuclear Power LLC fuel fabrication facility near Hematite, MO, has
permanently ceased the conversion of UF6 to UO2 powder, and, therefore,
no longer handles liquid UF6. Additionally, CE Nuclear Power LLC will
remove all UF6 from the site by March 31, 2001. Consistent with the
shutdown of conversion, powder handling has been greatly diminished and
1/3 of the pelletizing operation has been permanently ceased. It is CE
Nuclear Power LLC's intention to be complete with fuel handling
operations by September 30, 2001 and be in the decommissioning process
after this time.
