Alert

Due to a lapse in appropriations, the NRC has ceased normal operations. However, excepted and exempted activities necessary to maintain critical health and safety functions—as well as essential progress on designated critical activities, including those specified in Executive Order 14300—will continue, consistent with the OMB-Approved NRC Lapse Plan.

Escalated Enforcement Actions Issued to Individuals

This page includes a collection of significant enforcement actions (referred to as "escalated") that have been issued to licensed and non-licensed individuals. Enforcement actions involving individuals are addressed in Section VIII of the NRC Enforcement Policy, NUREG-1600.

The following escalated actions are included on this site:

  • Notices of Violation that include Severity Level I, II, or III violations (IANOV). These actions normally remain on this site for one year from the date of the action.

  • Orders that modify, suspend, or revoke a license (for licensed individuals) and orders that limit or prohibit involvement in NRC-licensed activities (IAORDER). These actions remain on this site for the duration of the restriction.

  • This site also includes letters and plea agreements documenting restrictions in NRC-licensed activities negotiated and issued by other organizations, such as the Department of Justice (IALETTER).
