Project Overview
On August 20, 2019, Atomic Alchemy, Inc., submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) a letter of intent to submit construction permit and operating license applications for four non-power, pool-type reactors to produce radioisotopes. The NRC staff is currently engaged in pre-application interactions with Atomic Alchemy related to the Versatile Isotope Production Reactors (VIPRs) Atomic Alchemy plans to construct.
