W14 Codes and Standards for New and Advanced Reactors

This session will facilitate discussions on strategies for the development, update, and use of critical consensus codes and standards for new and advanced reactors. It will highlight efforts being undertaken by industry and the NRC to ensure the technical and regulatory readiness for the effective, safe, and secure deployment of new and advanced reactor technologies. The session will also feature discussions on the Accelerating Deployment of Versatile, Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy (ADVANCE) Act of 2024 and its nexus to opportunities for innovative development and use of codes and standards.
