Kathryn Hyam

Kate Hyam is the Director of Nuclear, Clean Energy, and Standardization Codes and Standards at ASME. She is responsible for ASME's portfolio of standards applicable to nuclear facilities and non-nuclear design and standardization. In an effort to support the deployment of advanced reactors throughout the world, she is involved in the codes and standards related efforts under the NEI/EPRI Roadmap as a former Co-Chair and current member of the Advanced Reactor Codes and Standards Collaborative (ARCSC) and as a member of the IAEA Nuclear Harmonization Standardization Initiatives (NHSI). Throughout her career at ASME, she has been involved with developing standards in the areas of big data, additive manufacturing, verification and validation of computational modeling and simulation, construction safety, standardization, and thermal energy storage.
