State and Tribal Communication (STC) letters are used to communicate the availability of training courses, publication of proposed and finalized NRC rulemakings and licensing actions in the Federal Register, scheduling of public meetings, solicitation of comments, and offers for Tribal consultation. In accordance with Part 2.206 of NRC's regulations, any individual may raise potential health and safety issues in a petition to the NRC requesting that the NRC take specific enforcement action regarding a licensed, operating facility.
