G. Tim Powell

Tim Powell is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Southern Texas Project (STP) Nuclear Operating Company.  In his more than 29 years with STP, Powell has advanced through positions of increasing responsibility.  He served as Chief Nuclear Officer for approximately 2 years, and Site Vice President for over 4 years.  He has also served as Vice President of Engineering, Site Engineering Director, Systems Engineering Manager, Performance Improvement Manager, Radiation Protection Manager, and Shift Supervisor Operations, (Licensed SRO).

In June 2016, Powell was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Radiation Advisory Board.

Powell is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
