TO ALL PLANTS WITH AN OPERATING LICENSE OR A CONSTRUCTION PERMIT
  (Generic Letter No. 81-23)

Gentlemen:

Because of tinued interest by the ACRS and NRC staff management in the plant
specific evaluation reports issued by the Institute of Nuclear Power
Operations (INPO) we requested that a copy of any such report issued for
your Station be placed on your docket. Please submit the reports through
normal docketing channels.

The staff must be familiar with these reports in order for us to be
responsive in appearances before the ACRS and in our obligations to answer
questions fully when requests from the public are received. We have already
found the Crystal River 3 Evaluation Report very informative. It was issued
in April 1981 and a copy was hand delivered to us by Florida Power
Corporation management following a recent ACRS Subcommittee meeting.

                              Sincerely,

                              Darrell G. Eisenhut, Director
                              Division of Licensing
                              Office of Nuclear Reactor Regualtion
