Kelli Voelsing

Kelli Voelsing is the Program Manager for the Risk and Safety Management (RSM) Program at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). In this position, she is responsible for research activities relating to the development of methods and tools for probabilistic risk assessment (PRA), risk management, and nuclear safety analysis.  She first joined EPRI in 2011 as an Account Executive in for the Nuclear Sector. Prior to becoming the RSM Program Manager, she managed EPRI’s Modular Accident Analysis Program (MAAP) and GOTHIC code projects.

Ms. Voelsing has almost 20 years of operational and engineering experience in the nuclear power industry. While in the Navy, she served in USS Curtis Wilbur, a forward-deployed destroyer in Yokosuka, Japan, and in Reactor Department aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln. Following her active duty time, she worked at Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant in various technical and leadership positions. She has also worked on existing reactor and new plant designs at GE Hitachi and AREVA.

Ms. Voelsing received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the U.S. Naval Academy. She is a graduate of the Navy’s Officer Nuclear Power Program and is certified as a Naval Nuclear Engineer by Naval Reactors.
