Jay Robinson

Mr. Robinson has been with the NRC since 2006 and has been in his current position since 2011 where he is responsible for several technical and process related aspects of the NRCs review of fire protection and risk-informed licensing actions.  Prior to joining the PRA Licensing Branch, Mr. Robinson worked on many issues including Generic Communications, Digital Instrumentation and Controls, Plant Change Processes, Notice of Enforcement Discretion, and License Renewal.  Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Robinson held positions of Fire Protection Engineer at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, and Manager, Fire Services at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.  Mr. Robinson has also provided fire protection engineering consulting services to the Architect of the Capitol, and worked in fire protection positions in the insurance, health care, and transportation industries.  Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Safety from New Jersey City University and an Associates of Applied Science degree in Fire Science Technology from Union County College.  Mr. Robinson is a Professional Member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and a certified firefighter.
