John W. Stetkar

Mr. Stetkar is a principal of Stetkar & Associates and has more than 34 years of experience as an engineering consultant.  He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of probabilistic risk assessment.  Mr. Stetkar received degrees in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He also served as a licensed Shift Supervisor and Senior Reactor Operator at the Zion Nuclear Station.  Mr. Stetkar is a Member and current Chairman of the U.S. NRC Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS).  His presentation and comments during this session are his own personal opinions and do not represent formal positions of the ACRS.
