Michael Massaro

Mike Massaro is the Site Vice President at the Oyster Creek Generating Station in Forked River, New Jersey and is the Exelon officer at the station responsible for the overall operation of Oyster Creek. Prior to his position as the Site Vice President, Massaro was the Sr. Director, Exelon Nuclear for the Mid-Atlantic region. In this role, he assisted the Sr. Vice President - MidAtlantic as a liaison in providing corporate governance and oversight at the other stations within the mid-atlantic region. He has also served as the Plant Manager at the Peach Bottom Station in Pennsylvania and, prior to that, at the Hope Creek Station in Salem, New Jersey. Massaro began his career in the nuclear industry in 1984 and has held various positions including Engineering Manager, Nuclear Maintenance Director in the mobile maintenance organization, and as the Work Management Director at Oyster Creek. He went on to then become the Plant Manager at the station in 2001. Mike earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical design engineering technology in 1979 from Pennsylvania State University and holds a Professional Engineer's license in the State of Pennsylvania. He has also held a Senior Reactor Operator license at Hope Creek Generating Station. He is married and has three children.
