REMARKS:

IMC 2501 (Nuclear Reactor Inspection Program - Early Site Permit) has been revised to incorporate comments from the regions and other NRR branches. This revision also includes the implementing inspection procedures.

IP 35002 (Early Site Permit Pre-Docketing Quality Assurance Controls Meeting) is issued to introduce applicants to the 10 CFR Part 52 process, and the NRC expectations for quality in the application for an Early Site Permit.

IP 35004 (Pre-Docketing Early Site Permit Quality Assurance Controls Inspection) is issued to provide inspection guidance for auditing the applicants QA controls before the submission of an application for an Early Site Permit.

IP 35006 (Post-Docketing Early Site Permit Quality Assurance Controls Inspection) is issued to provide guidance to inspect the implementation of QA controls after submittal of the application and docketing for an Early Site Permit, but before the ASLB hearing.

IP 35012 (Early Site Permit Quality Assurance Controls Assessment and Conclusion) is issued to provide guidance on how to document conclusions obtained from inspections of applicants QA programs.

IP 45051 (Geotechnical/Foundation Activities Procedure Review) is issued to determine if technical requirements are incorporated into the applicants programs and whether the methodologies for data collection have QA controls.
