REMARKS:

IMC 2515 (Light-Water Reactor Inspection Program - Operations Phase) is revised to add guidance to the regions for implementing IP 93808, reflect the organization changes that have occurred, and also reflect changes that have been made to SALP in reducing the functional areas from seven to four.

IMC 2515, Appendix A (Core Inspection Program Procedures) is revised to add IP 93808 to the core program. The addition of IP 93808 to the core does not increase the core DIE, as resources will come from other core procedures. Guidance for obtaining these resources is described in the new attachment to Appendix A.

IP 93808 (Integrated Performance Assessment Process) is issued to implement the integrated performance assessment process (IPAP). IPAPs give the regions an independent, verified, performance-based assessment of licensee operational performance and give headquarters an assessment of NRC programs. IPAP is to be implemented at 25 percent of each of the region's plants each year, starting in FY 1996.
