Nature of Deviation:



This is in response to the NRC identified nonconformance associated with

development of the dryout correlation used for the ATRIUM-10 fuel design

observed during NRC Inspection 99900081/97-01.  Additional testing and

correlation development is required.



Discovery Date:



May 13, 1997



Corrective Actions to Date:



Nonconformance report (NCR-6113) was prepared and processed by management

review team as required by SPC-ND's Quality Assurance Manual, EMF-1.  To

date, additional dryout testing is proceeding on schedule.  The NRC was

apprised of the status on July 8, 1997.



Evaluation Completion Schedule Date:



Submittal of a revised correlation is expected by November 1, 1997
