The NRC Senior Resident Inspector, as well as three Regional Inspectors, were on site at the time of the event and responded to the main control room. No abnormal annunciators were present. The control room staff, as well as licensee management, were aware of the tremor and responded. Auxiliary operators were immediately dispatched to determine any impact on the plant.

The earthquake was centered 15 miles southeast of Columbia VA, and approximately 29 miles from North Anna Power Station. The earthquake registered .02 g (4.5 on the Richter Scale) at the epicenter. Seismic monitoring equipment at North Anna was not actuated by the seismic activity.
