Subject: UPDATE ON POSSIBLE STRIKE AT VOGTLE AND HATCH SITES             

Discussion:

This is to update the Morning Report Number 2-03-0010, which was issued  
on June 26.  The licensee notified NRC, Region II that the International 
Brotherhood of Electric Workers (IBEW) union accepted a contract offer   
from Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC).  The union re-voted on the
proposed contract at the request of SNC management and, on June 30,      
informed SNC management that the contract offer was accepted.            
Accordingly, no strike is anticipated.  This information is current as of
11:00 a.m., July 1, 2003.
