COOK MANAGEMENT CHANGE Discussion: On October 25, 2001, A. Christopher Bakken, III, was named senior vice president and chief nuclear officer responsible for American Electric Power Company's (AEP) nuclear generation, including oversight of AEP's 25 percent ownership of the South Texas Project Electric Generating Station in Bay City, Texas. Mr. Bakken's prior position was site vice president for D.C. Cook. Mr. Bakken will continue to report to Robert Powers, who on September 28, 2001, was named executive vice president responsible for all nuclear engineering activities as well as some non-nuclear engineering.
