GENERIC COMMUNICATIONS
Information Notice 2001-11, "THEFTS OF PORTABLE GAUGES," was isued on
July 13, 2001.
This notice was issued to all portable gauge licensees to inform them of
recent thefts of portable gauges, and to remind them of their
responsibilities to prevent loss and damage to portable gauges. Most of
the thefts occurred when gauges were stored in vehicles parked in areas
vulnerable to theft.

Discussion:
The Nuclear Management Company, LLC, (NMC) announced recent changes in
its upper management structure: John Paul Cowan has been appointed senior
vice-president for Nuclear Operations, Donald Gillispie has been
appointed senior vice-president for Nuclear Assessment Programs; and
Charles Schrock has been appointed senior vice-president of Nuclear
Support Programs. All three report to Roy Anderson, NMC executive vice-
president and chief nuclear officer, who reports to Mike Sellman, NMC
president and chief executive officer. The changes were effective July
10, 2001.
The NMC also announced that Joel Sorensen, the site vice-president of
Prairie Island, has been appointed to the NMC corporate position of
vice-president of fleet standardization. He will report to Mr. Schrock.
Mano Nazar, formerly the plant manager at Oconee, will join the NMC on
August 1 and will succeed Mr. Sorensen after a turnover at Prairie Island
of a few months.
Effective on July 1, 2001, Douglas Cooper was promoted from plant general
manager to site vice president for Palisades. He succeeds Mr. Cowan, who
was acting site vice president for the plant's parent utility, Consumers
Energy. In addition, Daniel Malone, director of engineering, replaces Mr.
Cooper as plant general manager.
