The Chairman will open the meeting with brief opening remarks, outline the topics to be discussed, and indicate several items of interest.
2) 8:40 - 10:15 A.M. ACNW Planning and Procedures (Open) (BJG/ALL)
    The Committee will discuss the items noted below.
    2.1) Commitments from the ACNW 125th meeting
    2.2) Issues for the 126th ACNW meeting
  2.3) Topics for June 2001 and beyond
  2.4) Response to Commission Staff Requirements Memorandum (SRM) on the March 22, 2001, ACNW briefing
  2.5) EDO responses to Committee reports
  2.6) EDO's list of future meeting topics
  2.7) ACNW Calendar for 2001
  2.8) Civilian Radioactive Waste Management Systems, Management and Operating Contractor meeting topics
  2.9) Planned attendance at outside meetings

3) 10:30 - 11:30 A.M. Key Technical Issues (KTIs) - Vertical Slice Report (Open)(BJG/LFD)
    The Committee members will present a progress report on their assigned KTIs.
  3.1) Thermal Effects on Flow (ML/RKM)
  3.2) Saturated Zone Flow (GMH/LFD)
  3.3) Container Life and Source Term (RGW/ACC)
    Note: Total System Performance Assessment vertical slice to be discussed after relevant Technical Exchanges are completed.

4) 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. Key Technical Issues (KTIs) - Vertical Slice Report (Open) (BJG/LFD)
    The Committee members will continue to discuss their progress on their assigned KTIs.
5) 2:30 - 3:30 P.M. Break and Preparation of Draft ACNW Reports
Cognizant ACNW members will prepare draft reports, as needed, for consideration by the full Committee.
6) 3:30 - 5:30 P.M. Preparation of ACNW Reports (Open)
The Committee will discuss proposed reports on the following topics:
    6.1) Entombment (RGW/HJL)
    6.2) Proposed Revisions to 10 CFR Part 71 (ML/AS)
    6.3) High Level Waste Chemistry (RGW/ACC)
    6.4) SRM on 3/22/01 ACNW Commission briefing (BJG/JTL/LFD)
WEDNESDAY, MAY 16, 2001, CONFERENCE ROOM 2B3, TWO WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND
7) 8:30 - 8:40 A.M. Opening Statement (Open) (BJG/JEL)
The Chairman will make opening remarks regarding the conduct of today's sessions.
8) 8:40 - 10:15 A.M. Overview of Sequoyah Fuels (Open) (RGW/HJL)
    8.1) 8:40 - 9:30 a.m.: The Committee will receive an information briefing from the NRC staff on the current status of activities at the Sequoyah Fuels Corporation Facility.
    8.2) 9:30 - 10:15 a.m.: Discussion between the ACNW members and the staff
  10:15 - 10:30 A.M. ***BREAK***
9) 10:30 - 12:00 Noon Yucca Mountain Draft Environmental Impact Statement
(DEIS) (Open) (GMH/AS) (tentative)
The Committee will receive an update briefing from a DOE representative on the DEIS for the proposed HLW repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada.

10) 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Yucca Mountain (Open) (GMH/AS) (tentative)
    10.1) 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.: The Committee will receive an information briefing from the NRC staff on their plans for reviewing the DOE DEIS for the proposed HLW repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada.
    10.2) 1:30 - 2:00 p.m.: Discussion between the ACNW members and the staff.
11) 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Break and Preparation of Draft ACNW Reports
