Closed Meeting - Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mediation with Department of the Air Force

To conduct a mediation session regarding the apparent violations associated with NRC Event Number 57007, reported by the Department of the Air Force to the NRC on March 5, 2024, regarding the panoramic irradiator at Kirtland Air Force Base. The irradiator’s cobalt-60 source became stuck in an unshielded position, and actions taken by the staff were unable to return the source to the shielded position.
