Purpose
The purposes of this workshop are as follows:
(1) to describe NRC responsibilities to consult with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service ("Services") under the Endangered Species Act and Magnuson-Stevens Act for subsequent license renewal application reviews;
(2) to describe the role of the NRC, the Services, and applicants during consultation;
(3) to review past challenges and lessons learned from previous NRC consultations; and
(4) to discuss best practices for conducting efficient and effective consultations during future subsequent license renewal reviews..
