Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES), in cooperation with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), will jointly sponsor a workshop to provide guidance on the treatment of uncertainties in risk-informed regulation, as discussed in NUREG-1855, Revision 1, “Guidance on the Treatment of Uncertainties Associated with PRAs in Risk-Informed Decisionmaking,” EPRI 1016737, “Treatment of Parameter and Model Uncertainty for Probabilistic Risk Assessments,’ and EPRI 1026511, “Practical Guidance on the Use of PRA in Risk-Informed Applications with a Focus on the Treatment of Uncertainty.” This workshop will address this this topic with regard to both operating and new reactors.
