Purpose
The purpose of this pre-application public conference call is for STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) to discuss with the U.S.Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff proposed modifications to the reactor protective system by removing P-16 permissive relays. The P-16 permissive relay is a redundant reactor protective system (RPS) feature that stops the main steam turbine if the reactor is automatically shut down by the RPS.
