Reshaping the Baseline Security Significance Determination Process: An Overview of Ongoing Efforts to Further Risk-Inform and Clarify Existing Methods

At the 36th annual RIC, the NRC introduced the Baseline Security Significance Determination Process (BSSDP) working group and plans for the Phase I assessment. New for 2025, NRC staff will share the results of the Phase I activities, including an overview of the working group's recommended path forward in Phase II. This digital exhibit will provide additional details on the working group's plans to further risk-inform the BSSDP and reduce subjectivity while increasing consistency in determination results.
