Jerry Head

Jerry Head has over 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry including research reactor operations, new plant commissioning, and plant operations (both PWR and BWR technologies).  He joined GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) in Engineering in 2007 in and was named Sr. Vice President, Regulatory Affairs in 2009.  In this role, Mr. Head is responsible for managing the GEH licensing team and providing leadership and strategic guidance for all the licensing activities in the business.  He provides leadership for the GEH relationship with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, coordinates industry interfaces with organizations such as NEI, WNA, and INPO, and leads international licensing efforts for the business.  He currently serves as the Chairman of the WNA CORDEL Working Group which is focused on regulatory standardization and harmonization.

Jerry earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
