Andrew Kugler

Mr. Kugler has a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Cooper Union in NY and a Masters in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University.  He served in the U.S. Navy submarine force, and worked as a start-up test engineer and field engineering supervisor at the River Bend Station.  Since joining the NRC in 1990, he has served as a reactor engineer, a licensing project manager and an environmental project manager.  He has led or assisted teams developing environmental impact statements for license renewal, early site permits, and combined licenses.  He has also helped to develop or revise regulations and regulatory guidance, including the environmental standard review plan and recently published interim staff guidance.
