Terry J. Romine

Terry J. Romine currently serves as the Chief Public Utility Law Judge of the Maryland Public Service Commission. While employed by the Maryland Commission,  she also has served as its Deputy Staff Counsel and its Executive Secretary as well as Acting Executive Director. Prior to joining the Commission  in 2007,  Ms. Romine had a lengthy career  as in-house counsel for several competitive local telecommunications companies, spent many years in private practice representing wireless and wireline telecommunications providers, and also was a staff attorney at the Federal Communications Commission. Ms. Romine served on active duty in the U.S. Navy in the Judge Advocate General's Corps for six years.  She is an active member of the New York, District of Columbia, and Maryland bar, and an inactive member of the Illinois bar. Her J.D. (with  distinction) was earned at The John Marshall Law  School, Chicago, and she graduated with an A.B. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
