Eugene Guthrie

Mr. Guthrie has been a Branch Chief in Region II, Division of Reactor Projects, since 2006. He has been the Branch Chief for TVA Nuclear Facilities since June, 2008. Prior to his promotion to Branch Chief, Mr. Guthrie served as the Senior Resident Inspector at Catawba Nuclear Station beginning in 2003. Mr. Guthrie served as Resident Inspector at the Brunswick Nuclear Station from 1997 to 2003. He served as a Reactor Engineer in the NRC=s Region I office in King of Prussia, PA in 1997. Prior to joining the NRC in 1997, Mr. Guthrie was employed with General Electric and Lockheed Martin from 1988 to 1997 at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory Inc. While working at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory Inc., Mr. Guthrie was a Shift Manager at the S8G Prototype and a Nuclear Plant Engineer at the S3G Prototype. Mr. Guthrie received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1988 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has also completed the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Engineers Exam and the Naval Nuclear Power School Officers Course at the Naval Training Center in Orlando, Florida.
