June Cai

June Cai is a Senior Safety Culture Program Manager in the Office of Enforcement at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). In this role, Ms. Cai serves as the staff level lead in advising, developing, and implementing activities for supporting and continuously strengthening NRC’s internal safety culture. Ms. Cai has been with the NRC since 2002 and has worked in several other offices in the agency in the human performance area and safety culture areas. Ms. Cai has extensive knowledge and experience with NRC’s external safety culture activities (i.e., focused on the regulated community) and conducting safety culture assessment activities. She has served on multiple onsite inspections related to human factors, safety conscious work environment, and safety culture issue and has led the development of training activities on safety culture for reactor inspectors. Ms. Cai participated in the NRC’s Leadership Potential Program in 2009-2010 and graduated from the Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program in 2004. Ms. Cai has a B.S. in Applied Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.A. in Psychology-Human Factors and Applied Cognition from George Mason University.
