Paula Cooper

Mrs. Paula Cooper is a Senior Reactor Inspector for the Division of Operating Reactor Safety in the Region II Office located in Atlanta where she performs reactor and materials inspections at both pressurized and boiling water reactors.  Mrs. Cooper has over 20 years of engineering experience, including 8 years of civil engineering design and 15 years at the NRC. Ms. Cooper began her NRC career in 2010 as an Environmental Project Manager in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, Division of License Renewal, issuing Environmental Impact Statements to support the issuance of renewed operating reactor licenses.

Mrs. Coopers current position as a Senior Reactor Inspector began in 2012, where she has extensive experience leading and performing Inservice Inspections and Aging Management Inspections on both Operating Reactor and Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Inspections. Mrs. Cooper has served in several staff and supervisory positions within the agency.

Mrs. Cooper received a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia.
