Kevin Borne

Kevin Borne is the Division Administrator for the Emergency and Radiological Services Division at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). A proud lifelong resident of Louisiana, Kevin graduated from LSU in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science. He began his career as a Marine Biologist with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in 2010, where he contributed to the response efforts during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Kevin joined LDEQ in 2012 as an Emergency Responder and progress through the ranks, serving as a Staff Scientist, Emergency Response Supervisor, Manager, and ultimately achieving the role of Division Administrator in April 2024. Throughout his career, Kevin has been dedicated to protecting the environment and ensuring public safety through effective emergency response incident management, including nuclear response and emergency planning.
